Our high-speed reciprocating products range from 60 hp (45 kW) to 7,200 hp (5,370 kW), with a variety of piston rod load capacities and frame stroke combinations. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, over 15,000 of our compressors can be found around the globe, working in fuel-gas boosting, gas gathering, gas lift, compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling, and pipeline and storage/withdrawal applications.

Our field service technicians have the most comprehensive on-machine analysis capabilities in the industry. Our portable diagnostics systems are much less intrusive than on-board systems. As the OEM, Cooper provides technology and engineering services for Gemini separable compressors. With our advanced technologies, expertise, and project management experience, we offer Gemini compressors upgrades to improve efficiency, reliability, and maintenance costs.
To further strengthen our upgrade portfolio for Gemini separable compressors, Cooper acquired HOERBIGER’s Engines Services (HES) division in 2019. Cooper now offers even more upgrade technologies for all our engine and compressor lines, including Gemini.

Gemini’s legacy dates back to 1870 when August Witte opened Witte Iron Works in Kansas City, Kansas. For decades after, August and his son, Ed Witte, continued to grow their business producing gasoline engines, generators, and compressors. Eventually, the business was purchased by Chicago Pneumatic who designed a high-speed compressor that eventually evolved into the Gemini units we know today.
