eRCM+ coreTM
ERCM+ CORE™ delivers essential real-time performance monitoring directly at the edge — with no cloud connection required. Designed for operations where cybersecurity requirements are strictest, Core provides continuous visibility into how equipment is running without exposing control systems to any external network. It is the foundational layer of the ERCM+ platform, delivering the intelligence your team needs while maintaining an air-gap-level security posture.
WHAT ERCM+ COREtm DOES
- Performs advanced local processing through edge computing, capturing and analyzing operational data directly on-site without relying on a cloud connection.
- Communicates with asset panels to visualize equipment performance in real time, giving operators immediate access to the data they need at the unit level.
- Triggers alarms and shutdown commands automatically when abnormal or unsafe conditions are detected, reducing the risk of escalating damage.
- Operates entirely offline — no inbound or outbound internet connectivity to control systems — satisfying even the most stringent cybersecurity and compliance requirements
Key Benefits
- Zero cybersecurity exposure. The absence of a cloud connection eliminates network-based attack vectors entirely, making ERCM+ CORE the right choice for operators in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- Operational visibility without compromise. Teams gain meaningful performance data and alarm capability without any trade-off on data security or infrastructure requirements.
- Rapid deployment. Most Core systems are operational within hours of installation, minimizing downtime during commissioning and getting value in the field quickly.
- Flexible power compatibility. Operates on 24VDC or 110/220VAC, adapting to a wide range of field power configurations without additional hardware.
- Your data, your property. All collected data remains solely the customer’s property — never shared with third parties without explicit written consent.
eRCM EXPRESSTM: A LEGACY OF INNOVATION

ACI’s first major, commercial release of eRCM ExpressTM was running within a Windows-based industrial PC. While a great success, openness of the platform, Modbus-only communications, cyber security concerns, and use of USB devices for updates all created a need for a new platform.

Monico’s mCore controller proved to be just the solution. With lots of raw computing power, advanced cyber security implementations, addition of Allen Bradley communications, live data viewing, and additional features for collecting engine panel communications and acting as a data convertor, the mCore became the device for all new eRCM ExpressTM modules.

With Altronic becoming part of the Cooper Machinery Services team in 2025, and having integrated eRCM ExpressTM within their own purpose-built control panels for a few years, the ACM-4000 controller is now the flagship controller for the most advanced version of eRCM ExpressTM, now known as the ERCM+ CORETM. The newest version now supports options for Shut Down Avoidance intelligence, real-time advanced thermodynamics implementations for handling gas compression for process gases and/or gas streams with lots of hydrocarbon liquid dropouts.
And, future versions will incorporate real-time, torsional modeling calculations to help determine safe load steps and speeds to use at current operating conditions.
