Cooper's Clark, IR,
and Worthington COE
for Clark, IR, and Worthington integral engines and compressors.
Cooper’s expertise with non-OEM large-bore engines and compressors dates back to our acquisition of Nickels Industrial in 2001. Since then, we have continued to develop product and process improvements for legacy equipment. Legendary brands like Clark, Ingersoll Rand, and Worthington now come up to date with the best performance, efficiency, and emissions technology.
Founded in 1918 as an automobile repair shop, Nickles Industrial grew to become one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of aftermarket parts for large industrial engines and compression equipment. Today, our Houston, Texas location is a trusted repair and new parts provider, serving as Cooper’s center of excellence for Clark, Ingersoll Rand, and Worthington integral engines and compressors.
Cooper Case Study: Recently, our Cooper field service team completed the first of two Clark overhauls for a customer in Oklahoma. The Clark TCVA-16 project included new power cylinders, pistons, heads, main bearings, camshafts, a cooling system, a lube system and a rebuilt crankshaft. The scope also included overhauling the turbochargers and compressors, including pistons, rod assemblies, crosshead slides, connecting rods, compressor valves, and unloaders.
